April 8, 201511 yr Hi I'm looking for a bit of advice. I've just pulled a 120Gb SSD out of a PC and I want to put it in my Unraid server as a dedicated VM drive. What's the best way of doing this while not adding it to the array or using it as a cache drive? Thanks
April 8, 201511 yr I like the idea of seperate cache and app (VM) drives. I guess for a seperate app drive you need to mount another drive outside of the array. In v5 the method I have used to mount a drive outside the array is SNAP. This post here details how to do this with the plugin: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=29519.0 I haven't installed v6x (in anger) yet but found this post you might want to read: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=31594.0
April 8, 201511 yr Author I've got SNAP installed but what file format do you recommend I use on the drive XFS, NTFS?
