Config of UnRaid Pro version

Featured Replies

Is there a link that describes what comes preconfigured on the Pro version?  i.e. is Unmenu installed, other dockers? etc...  I've been looking at all the various items to install/config and buying it preinstalled would save some time...

Also, is there a gui version of the pre-clear?  Would be nice to see that in the disk formatting area...

No to unmenu or any dockers, or plugins.  Some of the plugins are covered by the new GUI on v6 (namely dynamix and some of it's functions).  Unraid is fairly bare bones out of the box, v6 makes it more complete.

There isn't an official GUI for preclear, but you can track the progress with unmenu.  I'd recommend you do that via CLI and screen.

There is no configurable "matrix" that preinstalls unraid with dockers/plugins or the like.

As noted, there's essentially nothing pre-configured in the basic install of any version.

UnMenu is a separate add-on.  There's not only no GUI for pre-clear, but the pre-clear script itself is not part of UnRAID ... you have to download it and add it to your flash drive.  [Although it's become pretty common for folks to use it; it's not actually required ... UnRAID will clear a new disk for you when you add it => the problem is that the array isn't useable during the clearing process, which takes many hours.    The pre-clear script not only clears the drive in a manner that UnRAID will recognize it's already been cleared ... thus letting you add it instantly with no time that the array's not useable;  but also provides a good means of thoroughly testing the new drive before you add it to the array]
