April 10, 201511 yr Watching the messages in my system as it boots and saw this message: http://my.jetscreenshot.com/12412/20150410-xc8u-1867kb "If an ACPI driver is available for this device, you should us it instead of the native driver" ACPI specifies how a computer's basic input/output system, operating system, and peripheral devices communicate with each other about power usage. Does that really matter in UnRAID? Thanks... Jeff...
April 10, 201511 yr Apples and Oranges ACPI refers to power management => i.e. sleep states; sleep timers; WOL; etc. AHCI refers to the SATA access mode Not sure just what that message is indicating ... but you can safely just ignore it
April 10, 201511 yr Author Thanks, that's what I thought and couldn't imagine why it cares or relates acpi to ahci, but you never know!
