What is the purpose of the ":" share

Featured Replies

A share called ":" appeared after upgrading to v6b14 and creating docker image and containers.  What is its purpose?

Its not supposed to be part of it.  Any chance you inadvertently created it?

Sure, I suppose it is possible it was a mistake.  So, no reason I cannot delete it?

I would navigate into it through the webUI and make sure nothing's in it first, but yeah you can delete it.

The contents of /mnt/user show the following for the ":" share

/mnt/user (it seems to be a redundant empty directory structure).  The ":" share also appears on disk1 (/mnt/disk1/:/mnt/user)

Before you delete it, you might want to start navigating into that "share".  You may have just done a typo at some point, but it may also be possible that there is some disk corruption or something going on.

I could find nothing in it.  I deleted the empty directories one by one and was able to delete the share.  Everything seems normal so far.  Hopefully, nothing strange is going on.
