April 16, 201511 yr Just starting to run preclear on my drives... Can anyone tell me what happened with preclear on this screen dump? http://my.jetscreenshot.com/12412/20150416-hrju-161kb I was preclearing 4 1TB drives and a 2Tb drive, ran for a day or so and one of the TTY sessions dumped this on the screen. Did the preclear fail?
April 16, 201511 yr Your sig says you are still on v5, and despite having 16GB RAM I suspect you ran out of memory. 32bit linux has to do some tricks to use memory above 4GB and they are not always "transparent" to all possible uses of memory I think. You might search your syslog for oom and see if that is what killed the preclear. Were you running these in screen? Can you reconnect to the screen session? Normally preclear will write logs to your flash drive with the final results, so you might look there.
