Featured Replies

having some strange issues during preclear...

I have two different HDs that i am trying to preclear but while preclearing them both at the same time they have been dropping... a preclear.sh -l doesnt show them as being there...

but the array is still up and running... after stopping the array and refreshing it does bring them back...

suggestions???

Thanks...

Sounds like a hardware problem. Possibly cabling or power supply. Any hardware details you can provide might help.

in short it's a esxi setup running 6disks currently in the array... with a 600 watt PCU (had 12 running with this same setup)

it's a 20hd enclosure with a sas controller card running the show...

as i said... the array currently is running fine...

but i have an error in the console after leaving it up over night...

reiserfs error device md2: reiserfs_read_locked_inode: i/o failure occurred..

ideas?
