Upgraded to v15 via Plugins - Not Booting

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have upgraded to the latest version using the plugins page and the system is not coming up from a reboot.

I can't ping it and nothing on the web address.

Anyone else suffered this?

Make sure a monitor is attached, so you see any errors.

You probably need to plug in a monitor/keyboard so you can see the BIOS messages.

Ok,

Have to do that in the morning.

Ok,

Nothing on VGA. No signal.

So I guess it's a case of rebuilding the USB? Can I load that straight with Beta15?

No matter how messed up the flash drive might be, you would still have video.  Did the VGA work before?

I haven't tried it before to be honest.

It's always worked via SSH.

I have a view of the console via IPMI.

Currently it displays "unRaid login:" after going through the boot sequence.

That would seem to indicate it has booted. Sounds like you must have a network problem if it won't ping. Login to unRAID console,

ifconfig

and

ethtool eth0

Also post IP address of computer you are trying to ping from.

How annoying...

Remove all the disks, unmount the server from the rack, break a fan in the process, plug the network cables back in, reboot...

All working.

Hey ho
