Is there a way to have unraid bluetooth compatible.  I have bluetooth connection on my amp and would like to connect to my music share on unpaid to stream my music files.

Probably not going to happen on v5, since it is not going to be developed any further.

 

I haven't heard of anyone doing it on v6, but it seems like it should be possible in a VM with hardware passthrough. Depends on your CPU and BIOS.

I don't think it's "missing a trick".  They've been trying lately to do a lot of catch-up, and this is just one more to add.  There's still a lot on their plate, but give them time.  Make sure you add it to the features requested.

And as trurl indicated, you could do this in a VM for now. This would be a interesting future feature but not a priority in the shorter term.

What I was implying is that there is a huge market for storage / streaming audio and that Bluetooth is the next big thing for easy of use.  I am aware that If I do go Version 6 route that I can set this up via VM.  However that seems like a lot of work to me when all I want to use my unraid for is a media storage / server for audio and films.

I don't think bluetooth audio works by just serving files, so not likely to be part of unRAID any time soon, except as a third-party addon with VM or docker.
