Probably not going to happen on v5, since it is not going to be developed any further. I haven't heard of anyone doing it on v6, but it seems like it should be possible in a VM with hardware passthrough. Depends on your CPU and BIOS.
April 27, 201511 yr Author Thank you for the reply disappointing think lime tech are missing a trick here with the growing popularity of streaming and so many products now offering this solution
April 28, 201511 yr I don't think it's "missing a trick". They've been trying lately to do a lot of catch-up, and this is just one more to add. There's still a lot on their plate, but give them time. Make sure you add it to the features requested.
April 28, 201511 yr And as trurl indicated, you could do this in a VM for now. This would be a interesting future feature but not a priority in the shorter term.
April 28, 201511 yr Author RobJ, Jonp thanks for your replies. What I was implying is that there is a huge market for storage / streaming audio and that Bluetooth is the next big thing for easy of use. I am aware that If I do go Version 6 route that I can set this up via VM. However that seems like a lot of work to me when all I want to use my unraid for is a media storage / server for audio and films.
April 28, 201511 yr I don't think bluetooth audio works by just serving files, so not likely to be part of unRAID any time soon, except as a third-party addon with VM or docker.
