[DOCKER] unBALANCE

Recommended Posts

If I change the icon in the "Edit container", Advanced View, and rebuild the container, the original old logo comes back. I have tried deleting images in /boot/config/plugins/Dockerman/images/ (I may have path a little wrong) but the old images always come back.

I have tried these in my repos, redoing the xml, renaming the xml... no matter what, old oles come back.

Any ideas how to make them refresh?

build a complete new server from parts salvaged from the t1000

lol, if the file name has changed, find the xml for that docker on your flash and edit the icon section with the new file name.

Hmm, that is one thing I didn't try :-)

Tried it an no luck.... I think restarting is the fix... but I can never seem to be able to gracefully stop my array... I will live with them until for some other reaso I have to restart the server.

Hey thanks a lot man !

Awesome stuff, I will definitely use it !!!

I created my icon in about half an hour in Sketch, most of the time just figuring out how to actually use it :)

I'll change the xml template.

Oh, and regarding why it wasn't doing anything, there was actually a bug that caused it :)

The latest version fixed that.

Your tip about doing Media/Movies worked... when I click calculate, I get some results. If anyone needs icons created, I am happy to help.

2015-05-07 - v0.6.1

The GUI now handles browser refreshes. The log prior to the refresh will not be displayed, but new lines will be shown in the "console".

Great stuff man. That was fast!!!

Another thing I would suggest is the possibility of getting a notification when the move is complete.

Right not I'm transferring about 7TB of data, an email alert when its complete would be very useful as

I need to remove some drives and reboot my server to enable vt-d when its done.

Right now I'm looking back every hour to see how much longer I have to wait  ;)

I have no idea how to implement such a thing or the work required to do so. Its just something that would be

beneficial for the people wanting to do something after the move is complete i.e format drives to xfs , reboot server etc

Thanks again for your docker

Checking every hour, ouch !! :)

Yes, I see a use case for notifications.

Let me see how I can hook up into the unRAID notification system.

Will post back soon.

Thanks a lot for this docker.

Hopefully an obvious and simple answer...how do I update? I'm currently on 0.51 and if I check for updates in the unRAID gui is tells me its up to date and I can't find an update in your webgui. Do I simply create the docker again and it picks up the latest?

Hi, not too versed in Docker GUI, but there's a force update label.

I think that should do the trick.

I tried to install using default settings but it won't start. Here is the log:

/bin/cp: cannot create regular file ‘/etc/workaround-docker-2267/’: Not a directory

*** /bin/cp failed with status 1

*** Killing all processes...

It's strange.

What I found about 2267, is something about /etc/hosts.

Not sure what that can be.

I'm using /etc as read-only, and specifically /etc/ssmtp/ssmtp.conf, so that the mail process (ssmtp) can read it's configuration file (defined via unRAID).

OK I have a weird problem.  After installing this docker and configuring it was working great.  Now I am getting errors XHR failed to save config among others.  I think no problem remove the docker and reboot the server.  However after removeing and rebooting I find that I can still get to the unbalance web page with out re-installing the docker app.  it appears to be stuck in autostart mode but not listed in my docker menu?  thoughts

I had the same problem, but didn't have notifications turned on in Unraid.  Set that up, and now unBalance works..

*EDIT*  Upon further inspection, it's still crashing out (I saw that it had the green running ball, but didn't refresh to see that it was still crashing).

Hi to all,

Probably mapping "/etc", has some unintended consequences, but can't really figure out the reason(s).

interwebtech/heffe2001/dertbv,

Can you please make a simple test ?

Turn off notifications, remove the /etc mapping and restart the container.

Please let me know if this stabilizes the app.

If that's the case, I will setup notifications from within the app, rather than relying on unRAID.

P.S.: In any case, could you also attach the unbalance.log file ?

Removed /etc mapping and it started right up. No change to UR notifications.

Ok, I've updated the app, to remove the dependency on unRAID's notifications settings.

Now you enter the mail info in the settings page.

I've also made some UI fixes and added some additional logging.

derbtv, I checked your logs and I have an idea of why it's not doing anything, hopefully you can test this version and send me the logs, so I can check further.

So I was able to resolve my issue after several reboots, and all was good with the world,  however I noticed before I started having problems the first time the icons in the right hand corner were not in the correct location on the home page.  like the were over lapping.  Lo and behold I go back in just now an the icons are over lapping again and I am getting the same error messages.  I will take a look later tonight to see if I can figure out what is going on.

Great idea for a Docker Container. I had been toying with the idea of moving my drives from RFS to XFS and this will hopefully get me to stop putting it off.

I had the same problems listed previously about the container not starting unless I removed /etc from the mount list (the /etc mount is still included in the template .xml for this Docker for new users). Once I removed the /etc mount it started no problem.

Is it possible to add folders with spaces in their names? I added my folder "TV Shows" (without quotation marks) and when I click calculate I get errors:

Errors: "data is undefined" and "XHR Failed for calculateBestFit"

I then tried to add the folder as either "TV Shows" (with quoatation marks) or TV/ Shows, but when I click calculate this time it just tells me "Nothing to do".

Any ideas?

Thanks a Million
