jeffreywhunter
I'm used to having a suite of diagnostic tools to test network speeds, disk speeds, in my windows environment. I'm finding that unRAID/Slackware is missing these tools (i.e. iostat, netcat, etc). I'm sure this is a simple point, but how do we install apps from someplace such as http://packages.debian.org/sid/netcat-openbsd or from a tar.gz file? I've not been able to find yum, or apt-get or any other way, other than through unmenu, to install apps. Is there documentation on how to do that in unRAID? Quote Link to comment
dmacias
You would need to search for slackware l 64 bit packages preferably for slackware64 14.1 and install with installpkg. I googled netcat slackware 64 and came up with https://slackonly.com/pub/packages/14.1-x86_64/network/netcat/ There you'll find netcat-0.7.1-x86_64-1_slack.txz Quote Link to comment
