May 7, 201511 yr Hello everyone, I'm in the process of trying to create a Windows virtual machine on my unRaid server. I keep getting an error message as shown in the screenshot below, I've done some research but I can't quite find the solution. Any ideas? http://i.imgur.com/owIaIE2.png

I keep getting an error message as shown in the screenshot below, I've done some research but I can't quite find the solution. Any ideas? http://i.imgur.com/owIaIE2.png One of two things is your issue: Either you don't have virtualization capabilities enabled in your BIOS or your hardware doesn't support virtualization. See the unraid 6 manual in my signature for hardware requirements and setup instructions for VMs.
May 11, 201511 yr Author Thanks jonp, looking at that wiki in your signature revealed a couple things I did not do the first time around. I will make some changes and then post back, if I need help. Thanks so much!
May 12, 201511 yr Thanks jonp, looking at that wiki in your signature revealed a couple things I did not do the first time around. I will make some changes and then post back, if I need help. Thanks so much! No problem! Be sure to report back if you are still having issues after following the instructions in the wiki!
May 22, 201511 yr Author I've followed the instructions in the wiki, found that virtualization was not enabled in my BIOS (which I then enabled), and yet am still receiving the same error as above. Any suggestions? I noticed that the virtio drivers are not available from the site linked in the wiki, I downloaded version 0.1-81 instead. Could that be considered a cause of the problem?

If you are getting the same error as originally posted, it means that you're still missing something in the BIOS settings. Can you take pics of your BIOS where you changed any settings for virtualization and post them here?
May 24, 201511 yr Author Thanks so much for your help jonp, I migrated my unRAID server from a Dell Optiplex 745 to a server grade system, with an Intel S3000AH motherboard, and virtualization is working relatively flawlessly on that. Processor and memory utilization is almost at 100% while simply installing Windows, so I'll have to do some experimentation. For reference, I have 4GB of ECC RAM installed and a Xeon 3050 processor.
