I am trying to cross flash the m1015 and I have to do it in efi because i got the pal error in msdos. but when i try to flash it i get this error message "controller is not operational a firmware host boot is required"  what does this mean?

Try a different motherboard.  I couldn't get my LSI (the non-OEM version) to flash at all on Asus or MSI boards, finally got it done hanging out of a Dell machine at work.

I could not done in 3 mainboard with graphic bios (intel socket 1156, 1155 and 1150) but done for 4 cards with old bios (am3 socket) then it not by the brand, just do it in DOS by old mainboard.
