Seagate 8tb hdd write speed?

Recommended Posts

true, I guess I'm just used to my WD green drives which now that I think about it spin a bit slower than the seagate. Does the drive fill up the outer part of all the platters before moving onto the inner parts? If so I assume that towards the end of the writing I will see something closer or below 100?

ALL hard drives start writing at the outermost cylinders and move towards the inner ones ... where the speeds are notably slower.

Well I am pleasantly surprised at the speed these drives write at.

The speed will be nowhere near that good once the array becomes bigger. The slowest ship dictates the convoy speed....

I just hope they last as long as my WD green drives have.

We all do  :)
