May 15, 201511 yr So one of my wd green drives showed a red thumbs down for the SMART report and when I hovered over it it said 19 reallocated sectors. But today it is back to green; what does this mean? Is my drive going to fail soon?
May 15, 201511 yr Author was just looking at my other drives and saw this, 199 UDMA_CRC_Error_Count 0x0032 200 198 000 Old_age Always - 142 200 Multi_Zone_Error_Rate 0x0008 200 200 000 Old_age Offline - 26 what do these mean? all of them have a number in the UDMA CRC Error part and only two have a number in the Multi Zone Error part.
May 15, 201511 yr In general, the disk notifications try to decide if the count is increasing. Since it has already warned you about 19, it won't warn you again until it goes over 19. I don't remember whether it remembers these numbers after a reboot, so it may warn you again then. Known ATA S.M.A.R.T. attributes
May 15, 201511 yr Author ahh thanks for the info and the link. Does't look like those errors mean imminent electromechanical failure.
