May 16, 201511 yr Seems that there are several takes on that when scanning the support forum The official page doesn't reveal much. Can I expect my v5 Plus license (7 devices) to act as v6 Plus license (12 devices) or has it been downgraded to a Basic license (6 devices)? Oh, and do pooled caches (the extra drives) count towards the total? Thanks!

Any changes we make to plus in future versions applies just the same to you, regardless of when you bought the license. Thought the page you linked was pretty clear on this right at the top: Other than unRAID Server Basic, registration keys work on all available versions of unRAID Server OS. However, the capabilities a registration key unlocks on your system are based on the version of unRAID Server OS that you are using. The following table breaks down the capabilities of registration keys by OS version. V6 is licensed by attached devices. Cache, array, etc are all attached devices.
