xtrips
Hello, I am suspecting one of my disks to be damaged. It gets many errors all the time and certain functions of my NAS are extremely slow such as unrars. The disk is 3.5 TB and I have started to run reisefsck on yesterday (16 hours ago actually). I attached a copy of the actual status as of now. At this pace I won't be done until the end of the week. Is that normal? reiserfsck --fix-fixable started at Sun May 17 22:45:31 2015 ########### Replaying journal: Done. itimpi
No - that is much slower than normal. If you look a the syslog then I suspect it is showing many errors which is why things are running so slowly. I would suggest that you post the syslog and a SMART report for the drive in question to help others give sensible guidance. Link to comment
