Problem with UR6 RC2.0 Trial Key

Featured Replies

Just to get started with these new USB sticks, I just downloaded the trial keys (copied the link from the e-mail the system sent when I requested the key) on my new SanDisk Ultra Fit USB sticks.  Got an "Error 4" when I tried to install the key.  Here’s the process.

1. Loaded the site.  The following displays: - http://my.jetscreenshot.com/12412/20150519-qmuk-74kb.jpg

2. Click Get Trial Key – the following displays: - http://my.jetscreenshot.com/12412/20150520-4suj-25kb - Click Register Trial

3. Get confirmation e-mail, copy the link and paste into the Key File URL: http://my.jetscreenshot.com/12412/20150519-mk9z-49kb.jpg

4. When I click the install key I get - http://my.jetscreenshot.com/12412/20150519-dlrm-77kb.jpg

I've repeated it several times and had the same problem.

Then...I manually copied the Trial.key to the /boot/config directory and rebooted.  The trial is now active.  So there is a workaround, just does not work as intended.

ERROR (4) is what is being returned by 'wget' command used to retrieve the key file.  It simply means "Network error."  Not sure what this could be; maybe more information is in the system log.  This is the first report of this happening.

Sent the latest syslog to Tom, but probably not useful.  Also attached.  Not sure either, but it was easily repeated multiple times on two different installations.

Can't help with your error, but you don't have much luck do you mate?

Well, if you count the two servers I've built, one perfect the other flawed, I'm batting .500.  Not bad for the majors!

Have you tried setting DNS addresses (in Network Settings) rather then  getting them automatically from your router?

(Google provides DNS servers you can use at    8.8.8.8  and    8.8.4.4    )
