June 30, 200917 yr I suspect you'll find that APC is the most commonly used. http://www.apc.com/products/index.cfm Personally, I use an APC Smart-UPS 1400 for the rack which includes my unRAID server, and smaller Back-UPSes for everything else including our PC's and TiVos.

June 30, 200917 yr I use the same one everywhere... APC SmartUPS 1000XL. That way, if one fails, I can always swap it with another. The XL series take additional external batteries, which give me about 8 hours of battery runtime for my desktop system, and about 2 days for internet, router, phone, security, and home automation.
