mkeil77
Hi, i'm still quite new to unRAID and just setup my first system. among some docker applications i also setup a Windows 7 VM which works all perfectly fine. The only thing i need to setup, where i could not find the right answers is how i could setup the second on board NIC in the VM. The first one is already working but i like to setup the second one in the VM to be used only for the internet connection. my setup is: unRaid Version: v6 rc2 Mainboard: ASRock - C2750D4I please find also attached the config of my VM thanks a lot in advance for all the replies Matt KVM.txt Quote Link to comment

mkeil77
hi, no i have not seen this particular post. the problem is if i follow that one, after changing the syslinux.cfg my system is not longer reachable over the network. the both NICs have also the same vendor ID, not sure if that has anything to do with that. regards Matt Quote Link to comment

It only two, you can only pass through 1. Quote Link to comment
mkeil77
Yes only two. My idea was to have this first one as now for unRAID and all docker apps and the second NIC for the Windows VM to connect to the Internet. but what do I need to change to pass through then only one? Quote Link to comment
mkeil77
unfortunately i got this still not up and running. as mentioned in my previous post, as soon as i update the syslinux.cfg I'm not able to reach my unRAID system any longer over the network. assuming thats because both network cards have the same vendor ID. my question is now how can i pass through only one of the NICs or setup the second one for unRAID as br1 so i can assign it maybe to the VM? please find below my lspci output. both NICs are already showing in the dashboard of unRAID but not below the network settings. i appreciate any help in this matter Matt 00:00.0 Host bridge: Intel Corporation Atom processor C2000 SoC Transaction Router (rev 02) 00:01.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation Atom processor C2000 PCIe Root Port 1 (rev 02) 00:03.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation Atom processor C2000 PCIe Root Port 3 (rev 02) 00:04.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation Atom processor C2000 PCIe Root Port 4 (rev 02) 00:0e.0 Host bridge: Intel Corporation Atom processor C2000 RAS (rev 02) 00:0f.0 IOMMU: Intel Corporation Atom processor C2000 RCEC (rev 02) 00:13.0 System peripheral: Intel Corporation Atom processor C2000 SMBus 2.0 (rev 02) 00:16.0 USB controller: Intel Corporation Atom processor C2000 USB Enhanced Host Controller (rev 02) 00:17.0 SATA controller: Intel Corporation Atom processor C2000 AHCI SATA2 Controller (rev 02) 00:18.0 SATA controller: Intel Corporation Atom processor C2000 AHCI SATA3 Controller (rev 02) 00:1f.0 ISA bridge: Intel Corporation Atom processor C2000 PCU (rev 02) 00:1f.3 SMBus: Intel Corporation Atom processor C2000 PCU SMBus (rev 02) 02:00.0 PCI bridge: PLX Technology, Inc. mkeil77
OK after a couple of more research it seems that my MB does not support direct passthrough. So i decided to create a second bridge for ethic and assign that to my KVM VM. lets see hot this will go Matt Quote Link to comment
