replacing a drive, but won't mount.

I am replacing one of my 3tb drives with an 8tb drive and when I go to start the array it just sits at mounting disks and wont go past it. If I start it in maintenance mode it starts the data rebuild. So I am just leaving it in maintenance mode for now but I can't use my server :(

    well the rebuild finished and I went to start it and It still wont mount the array. Any thoughts?

    It is working now, I did a few restarts but it still took a little while to mount the disks, does anyone know if 8tb drives make it slower to start the array?

    well it took about an hour but it started. I guess it must be these 8tb drives.
