can you guys verify if the community app "transmission" is compatible or basiclly defunct

i doing an unraid install for a friend and installed transmission but it no longer works.

i did have issues before and there is no "unraid" support page only a github and on there they do no want your questions

they tell ya to goto transmission website we.. you cant create an account on the transmission website

i get these log erros from a clean install

so i wanted to know if its gone defunct for unraid

what is working is

"transmission-nzbtomedia" but not "transmission" so i figured id ask

and report it incase its no longer a compatible program with unraid anymore

It's a docker container, so no inherent compatibility problems. The last update issued to it was March 9th. Any specific issues you're best asking linuxserver within their discord

Small wording issue?

If I go into the Apps tab without the array started I get a notice displayed reading

Docker Service Not Enabled - Only Plugins Available To Be Installed Or Managed

This is slightly misleading in that the Docker Service IS enabled in Settings - it is just that it is not started since the array is not started. Should the message reflect this?

Interesting that error has never come up before since 6.9.0 was released. To fix it, go to Settings - Display Settings and make a change to any setting - revert it if you don't like what you change then hit apply. (You've never once made a settings change in there)

This is fixed on the next revision of CA due on the weekend.

Totally wrong error message that appeared!?!?

I would need you to in Chrome right click on the page and say "View Page Source" and then copy and paste (ideally) the entire code that appears (in the debug log I'm looking specifically for line 2468, but it's meaningless on my system as the page source is different depending upon plugins installed, versions, various options etc)

Attach here or PM me. Also is this Chrome or Safari you were using? Mac or tablet? I'll try this again at home on my VM

Today's update is all about dockerHub conversions.

The last round of updates on any dockerHub search wouldn't give you the option to install a particular search result if the template for that repository already existed within the normal CA templates (you would have to install that particular repository from within CA proper)

Today's update should make installing random containers from dockerHub a ton easier. When installing you are given the option to automatically attempt to determine any paths, ports, or variables that the container might need

This feature necessitates a trial installation of the container to your system so that CA can inspect what it uses. NOTE: the container is NEVER actually started or executed. After installation, the trial installation is automatically deleted and you will be taken to the template page with all of the parameters CA found already filled out.

Depending upon how the container is published, this process may not actually find any parameters that are exported. If an error occurs during this process (usually this would happen because the :latest tag does not exist), then an alert will pop up to inform you of the issue and you will be taken directly to the template page and will have to manually determine the necessary tag to use and the paths, ports etc

Done next rev - Detects if array started, docker not enabled, docker failed to start

i got a fresh install and i do not see the docker hub option like i am finding all over. what am i missing here.

It’s on the apps tab. After you run your search you’ll see a link for more results from dockerhub.

When search for Jellyseer it shows with no results.

how ever i know its on docker hub as i have it installed via portainer on another machine but want to go down to 1 main server (unraid)

when i search like you suggested i get no result and dockerhub dose not show up like on videos and picture's i have seen

Your screenshot doesn’t show the entire page but the link should be in the right side near the top.

Alternatively, your browser width is less than 1280px (which is the minimum the OS supports before the scroll bar appears) and you need to scroll over. Your first screenshot shows the "C" of "Click Here...."

Can we please get a vetting mechanism for applications within CA? It's getting just absolutely silly checking new apps. Repackaged apps with no value to unRAID, nothing even tested with unRAID templates. CA is turning into a RSS feed for dockerhub, and has lost relevance to unRAID.

Who decides what has value? You? Me? If I decide what has value based upon my use cases there would be exactly 6 apps available in CA.

And CA is not a "RSS" feed. Your complaint is that certain maintainers do not create the containers themselves. This is quite quite common in CA. Should the official versions of MySQL or MariaDB disappear from CA because MySQL didn't create the template?

Template errors happen. On all templates. I regularly scan the various support threads (all of them). If there is egregious problems, it gets handled on CA's end. If I've missed something, let me know in a PM.

I just want to thank this team for this plugin and the community app backup plugin.

Last night fighting to get swag and authelia to work I decided that /mnt/cache/appdata was different from /mnt/user/appdata and that unraid somehow created the share even tho i told it that appdata was only on cache. So I deleted all the files and the share.

Went about my business and later that night I wanted to try to get my swag and authelia to work and my heart dropped....

Luckily my last backup was from 4/1 so i lost a little but not all of it,
