I'm still waiting for the day my parents say, "It's all fake, we're millionaires.  This was all to teach you how to be humble

Added in automatic deletion of old backup sets.

New option available in backup settings: Delete Backups After How Many Days

Setting it to 0 or Never Delete will never automatically delete the old sets.

Option only available when using the backup into separate dated folders setting.

Some people are like slinkies.  They really have no purpose, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs

Added in an option to significantly speed up backups when using dated backups in conjunction with automatic deletions

The process of dated backups with automatic deletions was this:

Backup appdata to the new folder

If no errors resulted, then delete all the old backups eligible for deletion

Now, if you enable the faster rsync option with dated backups and automatic deletions, the process will be:

Rename one of the appdata backups (scheduled to be deleted) to be the same as what the backup is going to be  (If no old backup is scheduled to be deleted, then the process will be identical to the above)

Backup appdata to the new folder

If no errors resulted, then delete all the other old backups eligible for deletion

Huge speed ups because rsync no longer has to copy everything over, but only has to copy the changed files.  Only downside is that *if* an rsync error occurs, then you will have lost that previous backup.  (which ultimately means that your schedule for deleting old backups should be long enough that you always have one old one that doesn't meet the criteria along with the current.)

I see that multiple containers have different authors. Is there a way to see the differences in containers? Or which ones is more download/used/recommended?

For example I see that the linuxserver.io containers are very popular but their site hasn't been updated in months and I haven't seen ironicbadger around so I'm worried about continued support.

Hi folks. Thanks for the plugin. I'm getting this error in the GIU on 6.1.7. The list never loads. Tried rebooting the server, but no change.

"Fatal error: Call to undefined function filter_var() in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/community.applications/include/helpers.php on line 277 "

I have it installed. It just lists multiple version of the app, their support thread and the repo it's from. There are stars for some but it doesn't say how recent or which version was starred. It also doesn't show the differences between the apps.

I was just wonder if there was a way to differentiate between the versions aside from going to each support thread and reading through that.

Update available.

As far as which to choose, stars aren't really that useful a thing to go by.  Downloads are better and. You can sort by the number of downloads and if you click the icon you can see the total number.

Beyond that you've just got to research and choose whichever you are comfortable with.  Functionally there is very little difference between the apps from different authors

Thanks Squid. I got the docker I was after running. When I click on an icon for the description I get "Fatal error: Call to undefined function array_column() in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/community.applications/include/helpers.php on line 189 ". Not a big deal though. It's very functional. Thanks again.

Just looked into this (I think its the 2nd time someone has reported this).  You need to upgrade your unRaid to at least 6.1.8 ->  I can work around it, but it'll be a day or two

It's not that important. If it's caused by me using an older version of unraid, I wouldn't spend the time.

hello!

I just upgraded from 6.1.9 to 6.2 beta21 and the plugin disappeared. I thought that doing a re-install would make it appear again but no luck, I don't get the "Apps" tab I used to. Any ideas on what's going on here? thanks!

How did you do the upgrade?

I upgraded following the instructions on the beta thread

To upgrade your server to this release, navigate to Plugins/Install Plugin, copy this text into the box and click Install:

https://raw.githubusercontent.com/limetech/unRAIDServer-6.2/master/unRAIDServer.plg

Thanks!

EDIT: I was able to remove it completely and re-install it from 0... that did it! thanks :)

Installing dynamix file integrity has been giving these errors for several days now from China.  Since github has been accessible again in China, this might be a real issue, not sure....

Or just China related  (behind the GFWC)
