Nothing to do with CA at all (its on the Docker Page).  If anything, this is a Dynamix thing because it doesn't do a "tail" on a docker log (undecided if its for right or for wrong).

Here's what's going on.  When the Chrome window get a new line to display it winds up having to regenerate the entire thing.  It all takes time.  As more and more lines get added, the longer it takes, until finally Chrome says that the page isn't responsive (because it itself hasn't finished rendering).

thanks for the explanation. Maybe this could be fixed with a bit of jquery to only fetch say 200 lines at a time, and dynamically load more if the user scrolls to the top of the page.

Your link has some added characters if you copy the link address and paste it in a browser.

Yeah. I worked it out in the end. Weird thing is I got the link from the one at the start of this thread, the usual place I get it.  Seems odd.

Since it was released, I keep getting the following error when attempting to update the CA plugin to version 06.24 (06.16a is currently installed):

plugin: downloading: https://raw.github.com/Squidly271/community.applications/master/archive/community.applications-2018.06.24.txz ... failed (File I/O error)
plugin: wget: https://raw.github.com/Squidly271/community.applications/master/archive/community.applications-2018.06.24.txz download failure (File I/O error)

The same error is produced when trying to update manually.

Other plugins, dockers, etc update successfully.

I see no other reports of this issue so I assume something of which I am not aware has changed on my system.  Any idea what I should look for to address this?  Are diagnostics needed for this?

Best guess to me is that your flash drive is full and/or corrupted.  You can always try removing the plugin, and then reinstalling.

Uninstalled CA plugin and attempted to reinstall - same error.

Flash drive has 7.5 of 8GB free

Ran CHKDSK on flash drive twice - no errors found

Rebooted server - parity check started (interesting as, to my knowledge, there have been no recent unclean shutdowns), cancelled parity check

Tried to reinstall CA - same error

Rebooted server, clean startup without parity check

Reinstalled CA - SUCCESS!

I have no idea what happened or what fixed the problem but, the bottom line is that the latest CA is installed.

Thanks.

I mean, that kinda makes sense. Imagine how dirty you must be to be desperate enough to steal soap. So the punishment is really public service.

The URL looks identical, but it's not.  There's some weird unicode character in there before the the "s" in https:

This is the 2nd report of someone pasting a weird URL that on the surface looks correct.

How did you copy the original URL?  Where is your rough geographical location?

Try this instead

https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Squidly271/community.applications/master/plugins/community.applications.plg

EDIT: The next release of unRaid now has code in it to remove control characters, etc from the url when installing a plugin.

I can guarantee the txz online definitely is not corrupted (I reinstalled numerous times earlier today)

What I would do is delete on the flash drive /config/plugins/community.applications, reboot and then try it again.

Whatever it was, it was fixed by doing this. Thx a lot! :)

I have this as well.

Will attempt to reinstall

Edit: deleting the CA folder and rebooting worked. Removing it from the GUI and reinstall (without reboot) didn't seem to change the results.. Strange.

Hello,

Kindly I was wondering if I could ask here for new application to be added to the community applications.

My request would be for Kimai 2: https://github.com/kevinpapst/kimai2

https://v2.kimai.org

(Kimai v2 is web based Timetracker: multi-user application for time-tracking using Symfony 4 and the AdminLTE theme. Can be used by Freelancers, Agencies and Companies to track employee working-times and generate invoices)

Please, forgive me if I posted this on the wrong forum but I could not find guidance, here nor in the manual of Community Applications, on where to post this request.

This doesn't appear to be a docker, and I assume none of the unRAID user community has volunteered to support it.

You should probably just consider running it in a VM.

Is it possible to add, that when I search for a package by name in the top right corner, and CA auto completes what I am looking for, that when I click the auto completed value that also results in the subsequent "search" taking place? Instead of me click the auto completed value then having to also hit the search button to search for it.

For example, I want @Djoss 's MakeMKV docker container. So I go to the top right, and type "Mak...." then CA suggests "MakeMKV", so I click it. At that point, it actually takes me to it, instead of me then having to hit the search button.

So CA needs to read your mind also? ?

Since there are two makemkv containers ?

I'm on unraid 6.5.2 and my Community apps plugin will not update and I get this error below. Also when I click on Apps from menu bar, it doesn't display any content, then the Apps menu item just disappears. How do I fix this?

plugin: updating: community.applications.plg

No no, not at all. What I mean is that when CA auto completes something for me, for example, it suggests two MakeMKV containers. One named MakeMKV and one named MakeMKV RDP. And then I mouse over and click the one I want named "MakeMKV", all it's doing is then pre-populating the name for me in the search field. Would be nice that is actually initiates the search as well, since I have committed to which of the auto-completed options I want by the act of clicking it.

Understand. And of course, I know how to use CA, it's a great tool. I am just suggesting that it would be a nice small enhancement if the search field was updated to also include the subsequent search.

Of course my fingers won't fall off from the extra 1 - 2 clicks. It's just something that catches me every time I use it, that I would expect it to do this already.
