[Plug-In] Community Applications

trurl Squid Ok, brand new flash with Unraid installed. Changed over the key to the new flash drive. I took a picture of my drives and their locations.

So, it seems like I would install Squid's CA first, and then go through the process of re-adding all of the docker containers and everything. Is that correct?
Yes. If you can copy the contents from /config/plugins/dockerMan/templates-user to the new flash then go to apps, previous apps

As it stands right now, I can't access my old flash drive as it is not mounting when plugged into my computer.

When I reassign my drives, I just have to make sure I assign the original drive letter that they had, right? What else should I be looking out for?

So I've reassigned all of my drives in the exact same position as before. I have a message saying that "All existing data on this device will be OVERWRITTEN when array is Started" next to the parity drive.

That should be fine right? That's just deleting the parity data and then rebuilding it?

You could have checked off parity is already valid, but you would have to do a parity check anyways

As long as you’re sure you have the correct drive assigned as parity. If you’re not sure, it’s the only unformatted drive.

 • Various coding improvements and minor changes across the board
 • Renamed Trending Apps to be Top Performing Apps, and added in Trending Apps (which is the largest delta of trends)
 • Support appfeed caching of icons *

* You'd be surprised at just how many of the templates reference as their icons HTTP instead of HTTPS.  CA has handled that for quite a while now, by automatically requesting HTTPS for icons instead of HTTP (it does this so as to not "break the lock" on the browsers by displaying mixed content).  But, even with CA doing that, there were still a number of icons which were only available via HTTP and not HTTPS, and a few which in some webmaster's ultimate "I don't know what I'm doing, but they hired me anyways" moment that automatically redirect from HTTPS to HTTP which no matter what I did would break the lock again.

Since this really annoyed me, all icons are now cached by the appfeed server and are always HTTPS, so you will always see the icons no matter what, and the lock will never break.  The one gotcha though is that should the primary server ever go down, then CA's backup server will feed the original icon URLs which may or may not break the lock depending upon what you're dong.

Hey guys. A quick search didn't yield anything. Has anyone noticed in the last few versions of CA, that the auto-complete in the search box no longer works? I've disabled all ad-blockers and browser plugins. Tried in both Chrome and Firefox and nothing. The changelog makes note of a few autocomplete changed but nothing about it being removed. Is this a widespread issue or just me?

Works fine for me (doesn't help much, but...)

Is it on a particular screen, or always?

It's on the main Apps page. I opened up Chrome's dev tools and see this in the console (hope this helps). The error comes after I type in "beet" (no pressing Enter).

Go to Tools - Update OS.  Then downgrade to your previous version of unRaid.  Reboot then Tools - UpdateOS and upgrade to RC8.  Everything will work correctly.  RC6 has a bug with plugin installs

Since a quite long time, CA doesn't work at all. Always have a message saying that there's a network error. Enable to communicate with Github.com.

When trying to reinstall CA. I'm having that:

https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Squidly271/community.applications/master/archive/community.applications-2019.04.28a-x86_64-1.txz ... failed (Network failure)
plugin: wget: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Squidly271/community.applications/master/archive/community.applications-2019.04.28a-x86_64-1.txz download failure (Network failure)

I'm with UnRaid 6.6.6, was with UnRaid 6.6.7 but still the same. All the other plugins are working just fine. Oh, and I can easily download each of these file on any other VMs on that UnRaid server...

Anyone has an idea?

Check that your gateway is set to your router's IP address, and give it static dns addresses of 208.67.220.220 and 208.67.222.222 in Settings / Network

I was using 8.8.8.8 and changed it to 1.1.1.1 and now tried 208.67.200.200... Nothing it working.

But yeah, it might be a DNS problems but I don't know why this would only be the plugins that would be affected... It just doesn't make sense.

Thanks anyway for your help!

All Plugins would be affected, because you can't install any of them.  A VM utilizes it's own lookups etc.  Did you check the Gateway?

Found the problem... the /etc/resolv.conf was at 127.0.0.1. I have no idea when it changed (probably in the last update to 6.6.7 or to 6.6.6.). I've changed it manually with nano and it works just fine. But my network settings in the GUI is correct. That must be somekind of bug.

By the way Squid... wow, thank you very much for what you're doing for the unraid community! I really appreciate it!

can someone please explain to me how I can get the custom template to be recognized / used by CA for both search and install of the container?

This is my container: https://hub.docker.com/r/xorinzor/shoutz0r
And I tried creating this template, but that didn't seem to do much. https://github.com/xorinzor/docker-templates/blob/master/xorinzor/shoutz0r.xml

Haven't been able to find some kind of guide or tutorial either, so I'm pretty much guessing here based on what other people did.
