July 7, 200916 yr I am seeking assistance in getting the GD library to work in combination with the PHP setup that comes with the current BubbaRaid package. It appears that gd.so is present and uncommented inside of the php.ini configuration file, but there's no sign of GD function support when looking at the phpinfo(INSTALL_MODULES) output. I also tried gd_info() and the server reports an error message claiming that this is an unknown function. If it is necessary to install php5-gd, I would like to know how to obtain this package without having to compile it myself and how to install it (likely at boot time inside the go script using installpkg, I assume). Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. .... Really, no Linux gurus in this forum who can shed light onto this? What about BubbQ himself? Nobody here who actually ever wanted to use the built-in web server for anything related to image manipulation?
July 13, 200916 yr Just so you know, edits to posts are not very visible, that is, they don't 'bump' the thread to the 'Unread posts' list. Edits do raise the NEW flag on the post, but the only users who might see that are those who might be browsing through the forums, and most of us don't do that. I happened to see it almost by accident. My post here *will* bump the thread, but I don't have any idea how much interest or expertise there is, in the GD library. It is still a relatively small community.
July 22, 200916 yr Author Ok, thanks for the information. I was really hoping to utilize the unRAID server for more than just storing files. Having an "always-on" device and only using it once in a while seems like a waste of energy ... Having a working server with PHP support shouldn't be too much to ask for, I think.
