Dynamix WebGUI very, very slow

Recommended Posts

Well I thought it was my CPU, but its not.

unraid 5.0.5, Dynamix 1.2.1

Tested on a G550T, G3220, and i7-2600k.

While copying a large amount of data, or rebuilding a disk, or doing a parity check, the Dynamix WebGUI is essentially not usable, often taking upwards of a minute or more to refresh a page (and if its a dynamic page, like the stats page, it will load the page without the graphs, and then a few minutes later, load the graphs, and then a few minutes later, refresh the graphs, etc)

This is happening on three different unraid systems, and one of them is an i7-2600k running at 4GHz with 24GB RAM, just to test to see if CPU made any difference (it didn't)

I am presently rebuilding a disk on my 3GHz G3220 and the GUI is so slow, I am unable to monitor drive temps in realtime.  In fact, I can't monitor anything in realtime.  Sysload under 'top' is 2.85, 2.75, 2.34

Conversely, my meager 1.6Ghz Athlon II 250u is currently doing a parity check on my main server, 5.0-rc5, running Simplefeatures, and its running like a scalded dog.  Everything is usable in realtime, pages refresh instantly, etc.  On that system, top shows 3.99, 4.65, 4.85

Wondering what can be done to make the Dynamix GUI interactive again during periods of high server use.

Thanks.

You have dynamix.plugin.control in the wrong folder. It is in plugins folder which causes it to try to install before dynamix and it fails. Move dynamix.plugin.control to config/plugins.

This indicates that the powerdown plugin (probably a zero byte file on your flash) either didn't download correctly, or more likely couldn't be saved correctly due to a corrupt flash drive. Put in your PC and let it checkdisk and delete the powerdown plugin so dynamix can download it again.

This is probably the source of your problem. Possibly a cable issue with disk 4. What does the webGUI have in the errors column for this disk?
