How to Determine what is keeping disk spun up?

I'm run 6 RC3 and have noticed all my disk are staying spun up. I just recently moved new data onto the array and it's possible that one of my clients is causing this, but I can't figure out what log to look in to see what shares are being accessed and where the connection is coming from? Does such a log exist?

    lsof /mnt/disk*

    will show what has files open on the array disks.
