PCI Card not recongnized by Unraid?

Featured Replies

Hi Im a new Unraid user. I converted a year old gaming Pc into a server. I have 10 hard drive bays but, my motherboard has only 6 Sata ports so I installed a PCI Expansion card for the other 4. When I power on the server. The w

hole 10 hard Drives power up. But, in Unraid dashboard it only detects the 6? Is there a way for Unraid to detect the other 4? Or should I buy a 10+ data port motherboard?

Thank you to the community I ran into a few problems being new to this...I converted from a Drobo 5N NAS. I found solutions here :D

With Regards.

Ian.

What is the specific model of the expansion card? Can you see the drives in the motherboard BIOS? Does the expansion card have a BIOS you can make settings in?

Its an Incrust PCI Express card. I looked in the BIOs and I can't see the card or the other drives my first 6 are fro P1 to p5. The card came only with driver disc for windows.

Never heard of that brand and nothing comes up on google. Are you sure you have spelled it correctly? A brand name is not really enough information anyway, which is why I asked for a specific model. Is there any model number anywhere you could give us?

Again thanks for the reply. I bought the card from Amazon Uk...IOCrest PCI Express Card Sata 6G Model SI-PEX40064. Its PCIe bus 4 port  non raid card.

Thats all the information on the card? Amazon users say it Linux comparable but the box says only windows is supported.

Regards.
