June 8, 201511 yr I just received the ASROCK C2550D4I MB and still looking for RAM. Anyone have this MB that could recommend some ram. I looked at the support list on their website but I'm having a hard time finding supported RAM. Seems like it hasn't been updated. Ideally I'd like two 4gb sticks or even 2 x 2gb.

I got 2 sticks of ecc from Microcenter. I know it's more expensive but I had problems with under memory that wasn't ecc. The problems didn't show up right away and the memory checked out fine and works great in other systems. I think what I got is in my sig.
June 8, 201511 yr Author Did you have to make any changes in the bios to get it all working? Any tips you could give me.?
June 8, 201511 yr Author Also, I just ordered some Non ecc memory that was on the ASROCK supported list. I guess I should have checked but I'm assuming unraid will work with either right? It's not a prerequisite is it?
June 8, 201511 yr This is the mem I have 18KSF1G72AZ-1G6E1. If they say the mem works its should be fine. ECC isn't required. I assume you're using unRAID 6. If not, it might be the time to upgrade. This board won't work well on v5 due to driver issues. I would immediately update the bios to the latest. You can put it on your unRAID stick and do it from the bios. Also you need to update the bmc/ipmi. It is what controls your temp and fan settings even though they are in the bios. Just connect to the ip address assigned to the ipmi port by your router and update through there. You may also want to update the marvel controller. You need a bootable dos disk/usb. That's all I can think of for now. Let me know if you have any other questions.
