Web Interface Locks up After Stopping Array

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I have recently updated from 5 to release version of 6. I am noticing a couple of interesting problems but what to bring the following to you:

When I try to stop the array the web page updates along the bottom of whats happening with the array then as it tries to refresh the pages, its hung. See enclosed file for a screen shot of the updates at the bottom of the page.

Now when I log in to the command line, I see emhttp chewing up tonnes of CPU. Now it looks like it has shutdown the array and unmounted /mnt/disk1.......

The only avenue left is to reboot.

Has anyone seen this before?

Im on V6RC5 but it was happening on previous RC as well.

Any ideas.

syslog please, before you reboot.  You will have to get via console or telnet.

Hi,

I have found one of the drives was failing (no smart alert on it) and it might have to do with what I was seeing above. I have put in a replacement drive and now its not mounting (see my post http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=40735.0) so need to sort that out then see if this problem goes away. Will get back to this.

Thanks

Jim
