OS X: Can not access via webUI http://tower

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Running unRAID 4.4, and have been having this problem for awhile in various network configurations and thought I'd see what you all think:

I can not access the tower's webUI using http://tower from any of my OS X computers....  Safari simply fails to find the address, and the default Firefox installation redirects it to a real www URL (in this case, http://tower.com).  I can access the webUI using http://localIPofTower but would like a simplier solution.  On all the OS X computers the share can be accessed easily via smb://tower .

PCs on the network are able to access the tower's webUI without any problem.

Thanks, in advance, for any suggestions you may have.

did you add a line to your hosts file, for example I have the following line in hosts
