DigitalDivide
I've got two Win 8.1 systems and I can't run the Java Console for Server Redirection. I tried both IE and Chrome and it won't work for either. Oddly enough it works on my Win 7 work laptop. Under Chrome when I click Java Console, nothing happens, it just sits there. Under IE11 I get a pop for Open, Save, Cancel. Just Open or Save doesn't work either. I installed the last version of Java as of today. Link to comment
DigitalDivide
Thought I would also ask if anyone is using Sleep/WOL with this motherboard. Curious as to how you did it. Link to comment
HellDiverUK
When I had my AsRock board, I had to use Windows 7 to get the java thingy working. Wouldn't work on 8.1. Link to comment
ysss
Sounds like it's related to unsigned java codes; you'll have to lax your java security settings to bypass this. Link to comment
DigitalDivide
What's funny is under IE 11, on the main Dashboard page, the java applet runs in the small window on the right hand side. But when I go to Remote Control, Server Redirection, Java Console to view it full screen, it doesn't work. I get the attached message. Nothing works though. Don't know anything about Java Security or how to change that. Link to comment

I use Firefox and Oracle Java 8 in Linux Mint. It also works for me in Chrome. Make sure you you have the latest bmc also. The was a version that had wrong certs or something. So you had to relax the security. Link to comment

I have the C2750 but I would image it's the same for the C2550. It doesn't support S3 sleep. Given that my board idles at about 25 watts with everything spun down, I was never worried about it. You could do it with ipmi commands using ipmitools. Power down the server then power on through ipmi or wol if that works. Link to comment

DigitalDivide
I disabled pop ups, added the url to my secure list, have the latest bmc. Can't figure it out. I have the latest version of java 8. I opened a ticket with ASROCK tech support. I guess we'll see what they say. Link to comment

Then in the Java window you posted in Reply #4 klick on Save (you might need to wait a few seconds until it is enabled). If you get the Untrusted message you also need to go into the Java Control Panel under Security and add the IP to the Exception List. Link to comment
DigitalDivide
Finally got it to work..well under IE11 only. Turns out I was clicking Open or Save As and not Save. As soon as I tried Save, it worked. Chrome still does the same thing. Nothing at all when I click the button. But at least I got it working under IE and Win 8.1 Link to comment
