Test system, fresh RC6a install with preclear plugin only. I used it to test an older drive with preclear to replace a failing drive in one of my other servers. That process went fine, no errors noted. I then booted it with only the failing drive that I had replaced, with the intention of running a preclear cycle on it after the rebuild completed on the other server.

 

"BUG: Bad page state in process" messages started appearing at the console command line at regular intervals, with no actions taken on my part. I have not actually started the preclear, as I was waiting until the rebuild completed successfully on the other server.

 

I suspect the error is caused by the unassigned drive's smart issues triggering the notification process, but no notifications are actually being generated. I browsed the settings, notification settings section and there are no archived notifications, or any overt indications that it's trying to notify me.
