wirenut
Just need to be sure before i goof it up more than it may be already.... Running fine on RC6, checked for updates on update page, downloaded new version and got the successful "reboot server message" here's where my hand slaps forehead.... I powered down. Is it safe to power up the box and the update should just run as expected or do I need to do something else first?? Link to comment

garycase
Of course A reboot is fundamentally no different than powering down and then turning the system back on. There's a minor difference in the POST checks the BIOS does; but no difference at all in how the OS loads. Link to comment
