July 17, 200916 yr Hi, I looked around on the forums, FAQ, wiki etc for this issue, and if it's there I didn't see it... My unRAID server running 4.4.2 is disconnecting and becoming unresponsive. I've noticed the following: *I can ping the IP after it happens *I can't access the main page through a browser after it happens (on any machine) *I have to perform a hard reset and reboot the server to reconnect *I also have to reset my MacBook, but not my Mini to reconnect *This seems to happen 3-4 times a day on average, and does not seem to have any discernible trigger ** Edit ** Can't telnet in after the disconnect to get a syslog... and it's not showing any activity prior to a reset after I do reset the system. Any ideas? Thanks, Justin
July 17, 200916 yr Sometimes my unraid does the same, with the difference that it is not accessed with mac os x at this time, but a macbok is present in the network. If I remember right, I got a reconnect after reseting my router (netgear wgr614). Perhaps it is a network problem in my case. ifconfig from the unraid box itself indicates that the network connection is gone. MB is C2SEE.
July 17, 200916 yr I use to get these on my MBP when connected to my unRAID server. My problem also came from the fact that my wireless on my MBP was being incredibly flaky. There was a Bluetooth/Airport card update a little while back and now all of my problems have gone away. I no longer disconnect from my wireless randomly and my server does not seem to hang nearly enough. Also, when this happens, a restart of the Mac usually fixes the problem; or a forced restart of Finder.
