pyrater
Currently i have both VM's on one cache drive. I want to put two different VM's on 2 different SSD's. Without using SNAP, what is the best way to do this without creating a cache "pool"? Quote Link to comment
jonp
Unassigned devices plugin from gfjardim. There is no method in the webgui to do this as of today. You could drop to command line and manually mount the devices you wish to use, but that's a pain. Quote Link to comment
pyrater
Thanx Jonp; i actually tried the plugin and they wont mount via the plugin (will try again after the clear / format) . I was thinking to add the to the array and exclude them from the user share.... what are your thoughts? Quote Link to comment
jonp
Don't add SSDs to array. This hasn't been tested yet and because of how SSDs work, they could invalidate parity. I don't know for sure as we just haven't tested. Also, remember the write performance of a device in the array will still be bottlenecked, even if it is an ssd. You could just manually mount them in the go script for now if you wanted. Do you need instructions for that? Quote Link to comment
