Whenever I use MC to move files within the array I always have a real hard time trying to make sense of it as it`s so unreadable.  How do I clean this upÉ

I think you need to set your locale or term to "correct" that. I dont kniw any further as i never use MC.

I'm copying a file from one folder to another on the same drive using MC and it's copying really slow for some reason.  Only getting 14MB/s.

Np.  Putty is (free) Windows software for running telnet/ssh sessions.
