Moving cache drive to data and moving Plex?

So, one of my data drives is bad. My current cache drive is a 2TB green drive, which I only use for Plex. I am going to buy a WD 500 GB blue drive and use it as cache.

 

I'm also in the process of upgrading from UnRaid V5.05 to V6.0. My question is, do I just manually delete the Plex folder in my current cache drive prior to moving it to data?

 

If I do this, when I re-install Plex via version 6.0 does it automatically use the cache drive?
