General questions about permissions and dockers

Featured Replies

I've never had to mess with permissions prior to v6 and now since I've had to tinker with them to get some of my dockers to work right I'd like to understand them a little better.

During some of my docker setups I ran into some issues and was advised to run the new permissions script to set the ownership to nobody:users...I'm curious as to what were they before, and why were they changed?

What is the default ownership setting unRAID gives folders/files?

Lastly, I just updated some of the dockers and then I ran into another permissions issue that the new permissions script fixed again...is this something that I will have to do continually? Do the apps that share folders via mapping need to have the same owners?
