Upgrading UR 6 rc2 using Plugins>Check for Upgrades does not work.

Featured Replies

I've got UR 6.0 RC2 that I'm trying to upgrade to final release 6.0.0.  In the web gui I navigate to Plugins tab and click check for updates (correct place to upgrade, right?).  It runs, but does not upgrade anything.  Here's a screenshot.

Thanks!

Do you already have an update pending on a reboot? Ive seen that cause issues with the update detection before.

Not that I know of...is there a way to tell?

Just reboot... see what happens ;)

Yeah, I tired that, but didn't make any difference.

Updates are read from github (the place where the developer has stored his PLG file). Do you have a working internet connection (including DNS) ?

Worst comes to worst, you can always download the zip file from LT's website, and copy bzimage and bzroot onto your flash drive

From the console or a telnet session type:

    ping google.com

And see if you a response.

Yep, I have full internet.  Ping anything and get a response.  When I click the update button I get this...

And nothing happens.  I also have a problem where I can't load the pro.key from the registration page.  Had to load the pro.key manually...  perhaps related?

I can access my system from outside my firewall with no problems...so I know I'm talking to the internet...  and I can ping gethub no problems (which is where I believe the files load from...)...

I hope this doesn't come across as too painfully obvious.  But have you pressed "Done" and then scrolled back down and saw if unRaid had "update available" next to it?

Yep, checked that too.  Time zone is correct and using the default NTP.

Squid you win the (painfully obvious) prize.  Can't believe I didn't see it but when I went back to the page the update button was there.  Perhaps it just took awhile to download?  Perhaps there should be a progress message of some sort...

But thanks, you got it!

Nothing is downloaded when you hit check for updates.  After hitting done next to the plugin there will be an update notice if one is available.  At that point it starts downloading
