Round 2 at the bottom.  Are the attributes useful to post?

 

New disk.  I don't think I've had pending sectors go up before.  Any recommendations?

The drive looks fine, should be good.  The only thing that concerns me is the Raw_Read_Error_Rate, which dipped down to 64, but is now back to 83.  Might want to monitor that.

The (195) Hardware_ECC_recovered value is the one that I really want to figure out before I pull the trigger on the ironwolfs. Those values so close to zero worried me. However they seem to be normal for the Seagate ST8000DM002 and for the Ironwolfs I have seen so far.

My fourth IronWolf is preclearing now. This time I'm using the preclear plugin. Will post results once I get them

 

Here are the SMART reports of my three drives after using them for a few months. They have been on 24/7 and with the purchase of my third drive the setup is Raid5. I hope this is not considered as offtopic.

The pre-fail stats worry me, but apparently this is normal for these Seagate drives....

Can you run this script under any Linux distribution or just unraid? I have 4, 3tb drives to preclear.

I just tested this script using unRAID version 6.5.0 and it completed without error.  I collected the report on this preclear operation using   grep   and it looked identical to those reports which I had previously generated by the same command.  This script was version 1.15 and I modified it per Joe L.'s instructions to work with version 6.2.X and later.  See here for details:

With a no pending sectors at start and over 100 pending sectors by the end of the test, I would never consider using this drive in any server of mine.  (Some folks may tell you to run another preclear cycle and see if they clear up, but I would be more worried that this disk is already in a failure mode.  Remember, you have to be able to read every sector on every disk if you are going to rebuild a failed drive....)   With only 6500 hours on it, it may be eligible for a warranty return.
