Is v6beta15 supposed to be able to upgrade from the GUI?

Featured Replies

hi everyone,

So, in the "plugins" section there is an entry for limetech and that allows you to upgrade the unraid install.

(from v6 beta 15 to v6)

is this supposed to work?

as it doesn't for me, it goes through the process and says its complete, and asks you to reboot, but then the server will not boot.

Further investigation show that the USB is still v6beta15.

Now i am not sure if the USB was reverted or it just failed all over.

One thing i did notice while it was running the script to upgrade was that the script used the 'make bootable_mac' script.

(i dont know if its suppose to use that?)

to get the server back up i needed to re-run the 'make bootable' script and the server is back up and running with no issues that i can see. just notv6

if this is an unknown occurrence i will make a copy of the running USB and then retry grabbing syslog and anything else you would like.

It almost sounds like there's something wrong with your flashdrive.  Like its not writeable or something.  Maybe try it again and grab your syslog before you reboot.  (can't remember if the diagnostics under the tools tab existed on b15)
