ATV2 problems with Blueray.

Featured Replies

Hello

Ive just installed Plex Media Server and Plexconnect on my Unraid server. That's Unraid Ver 6 release candidate, 64Bit, Pro.

All seems well until I try and play large files (ripped Blueray), and then the picture starts to stutter and then the ATV2 falls over and reboots its self.

When playing smaller file sizes (ripped DVD or compressed Blueray) things are OK. To prove a point I have substituted a Panasonic Blueray player with a network streaming facility in place of the ATV2 and the larger files play flawlessly! I have a Gigabit Network and wired connections throughout the house so the problem does not lay there.

Is the ATV2 just not up to the job ( not enough horsepower)? Would an ATV3 solve the problem?

cheers.
