June 26, 201511 yr I would appreciate a little bit of help with rtorrent docker. I installed the docker and am able to download fine but it seems I can't seed anything. I did notice on the bottom of the screen that it indicates 45566: Port is closed I'm very new to torrents and port forwarding so unsure what exactly this means and if it's the cause of why I can't upload. I see the following for the docker settings for the ports 443/tcp 192.168.0.11:8099 45566/tcp 192.168.0.11:45566 80/tcp 192.168.0.11:8089 9527/udp 192.168.0.11:9527 Any help would be appreciated!
June 27, 201511 yr I just noticed that on my setup as well... you go to your routers configuration screen. And open that port on your router. I just did this on mine. If you don't know how to open the port, do a Google search for your router's make and model. It should be simple and straight forward.
June 27, 201511 yr Author I can download, but just no upload. Of the above ports in my previous email, which ones do I have to open? All of them? I should add that I added the two below but not sure if I should open others. I really wish this was included with some instructions when you install the docker. 45566/tcp 192.168.0.11:45566 9527/udp 192.168.0.11:9527
June 28, 201511 yr I am using a docker from user diameter My port mappings are as follows: 443/tcp, 49160/tcp, 0.0.0.0:8084->80/tcp, 0.0.0.0:49160->49160/udp, 0.0.0.0:49161->49161/tcp
June 28, 201511 yr With closed ports you can download but not upload. You want to open the bittorrent connection port (in this case 45566) in your routers settings. This is the case with all bittorrent clients (especially on linux based systems) This is not a docker specific issue but rather an issue to be fixed with your router.
