June 28, 201511 yr I notice every once in awhile I see the following message pop up on the unraid gui. It would appear from the message that unraid lost communication with the UPS. Nothing happened, no power outages or anything else. Just wondering what would cause this? unRAID Server Alert: 26-06-2015 21:36 UPS Alert Communications restored with UPS Tower
October 27, 201510 yr I am also curious what would cause a USB port to reset. I get these messages at least 5 or more times a week. I've tried different USB ports and even bought a brand new cable from the UPS to USB last week but it hasn't helped. The strange thing is I don't remember receiving these messages at all on unRaid 5... Are there any suggestions as to what I can try to help stop these messages?
October 27, 201510 yr I have seen the same but never bothered about it. It happens once per week around 4 AM.
October 28, 201510 yr I see a lot of these messages throughout the day. My home is old with only 3 wire electrical (Hot, Ground, Neutral). I have a few AC window units. Seems whenever there is a high amp unit within the house that turns on, I get the message. My lights do not dim or anything, but seems to be enough to trigger the message. Strangely, I can also reproduce the alerts by plugging and unplugging the HDMI from my TV! Pretty positive poor grounding is why I get MY alerts....
October 29, 201510 yr I don't think mine is related to the electrical system since I am using the same PC and same APC BR1000G UPS that I used with UnRaid 5. That's not to say it can't be the electrical system, just that I don't think it is One other thing that I find strange is that I never get a message saying the communication to the UPS was lost, it is always that the communication to the UPS has been restored....
November 3, 201510 yr I too see these messages sporadically. Glad to know they are nothing to worry about.
