I'm running Unraid v6.0-rc6a (v6.0.1 once I reboot) and have just added a new UPS to the system.

The UPS is branded Blazer II 1200 and has a USB port on the back which I've connected into my Unraid server.

Using the UPS Settings widget built into Unraid never seems to get comms working to the UPS.

It shows "Lost communication" in red text below the UPS Status text.

Near the bottom of the page below UPS Details, this information is filled in (but depends on how I have set UPS Type).

 

I get the impression it has partial comms to the UPS, because it's filling in info at the bottom of the screen, but only when UPS Type = USB, APCsmart, Net, PCnet, ModBus but not when UPS Type = SNMP, Dumb,

 

I'm also getting red alerts showing in top right corner of page indicating Lost comms to UPS.

Unraid currently uses APCUPSD to talk to the UPS, which only talks to APC brand UPS's and some other brands which use compatible signalling. I'm guessing by your results that Blazer doesn't use APC compatible signalling.

Do I need to install APCUPSD or is it built in ?

From what I can read in the forums, I need to install it for Unraid v5, but it's built into Unraid v6.

Could someone confirm please ?

I am using a CyberPower UPS with unRAID without problems.
