I am a huge fan of WD Greenpower for heat issues.

 

However Samsung 1TB Ecogreen are considerably cheaper here (like 30%). For a general data drive can anyone comment on their heat characteristics when compared to the WD.

 

Also do they show SMART temp when spun down like the WD?
