June 29, 201511 yr Hi i just installed my 120 gb ssd. I'm going to use this as an cache drive. I just booted up my server and the drive is connected and listed in the GUI. I have not started the array just assigned the disk as the cache slot. Before i go ahead and start the array do i need to format the drive or will unraid take care of this? i followed these instructions: https://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php/Cache_disk#Adding_a_cache_disk_to_the_array but it didnt mention anything about formatting. Just want to make sure before i hit any red buttons

In fact if you did format it before adding it then unRAID would normally overwrite it anyway.
