July 2, 201511 yr Hi guys, Not sure if you heard, but plex's forum got compromised, so they took them down, and they are forcing everyone whose forum accounts were tied to their plex.tv accounts to change their passwords. So I changed my password, and changed it on plexwatch and the server settings. My account got locked a couple of time due to too many unsuccessful login attempts (probably by plexwatch before I change the password in its settings). It's all good, right. No! Bam, I lost access to the server. Even when I try to access the server through the local 192.168 ip, I get a message saying "You do not have permission to access this server". Haha, great. I can't post on plex forums for help, because they are down as well, lol. Is anybody else experiencing this? I found a few cached posts on plex forums suggesting I connect on the same machine through localhost, but I am running needo's docker so I can't really do that (Unless I exec in, install lxde, firefox, xrdp and remote in but that's a pain). Thanks
July 2, 201511 yr Author Figured it out. I looked in the preferences.xml, noticed that the token parameter was empty. Luckily, I had access to my cloud sync library and was able to get my token from there. Dropped it in the preferences and now the server is back. Phew.

July 2, 201511 yr Hmm, I didn't have any problems. Here's what I did: Logged in to Plex.tv and changed my password when prompted Logged in to Plex on my local server and put the new password on the Settings -> Server -> General screen Went to my PlexWatch directory and put the new password in both config.pl and config.php. I also deleted the existing myPlexAuthToken entry from config.php. If PlexWatchWeb still won't connect, go to the PlexWatchWeb settings page, enter your password, and hit save. I then went to the Settings -> Devices page in Plex and made sure nothing there looked out of place. just another reason to hate plex, lol. If you can't say something nice, don't say nothin' at all. LOL
July 3, 201511 yr Author Went to my PlexWatch directory and put the new password in both config.pl and config.php. I also deleted the existing myPlexAuthToken entry from config.php. If PlexWatchWeb still won't connect, go to the PlexWatchWeb settings page, enter your password, and hit save. It turns out plexWatch was my problem. I updated the password in the plexWatch web ui, but forgot to change it in config.pl plexwatch kept hammering plex with the wrong credentials, causing my account to be locked. The locked account led to the server issues. After I modified config.pl and reconfigured the server, no more issues.
