July 29, 200916 yr Looking for some info and Joe has been a great help upto now with my current problem which were dealt with in other posts. Briefly i lost access to unraid server via windows pc i was able to access it via http://tower and could see things fine and under networks in vista i could see TOWER listed but wouldnt allow me access. Joe helped and reckoned it was possibly a share issue i had caused i attempted to fix to no avail my lack of linix skills prob not helping. Since then i quickly setup new server on differant flash drive with 2 drives one being one of the ones i had been using in previous server that is still currently not working. In the new server the drive works fine and i can access the TB of movies. So i wondered is there any easy way to reset the unraid server from my initially build that isnt working so i can set thing up again from scratch obviously i dont want to lose the data i have on my data drives. cheers

(unless it is accidentally assigned as parity instead of a data drive) So, you can delete all the files in the config folder of the flash drive and start new by unzipping a new release to the flash drive, populating that folder as new. When you initially assign the data drives to the new config unRAID will not see them as unformatted. The data will not be lost. Just be very careful NOT to assign a data drive as the parity drive. That would overwrite your data and it would cause you to lose it. Take a screen shot of the devices page so you can re-assign the same drives in the same locations in the array. Joe L.
